Continuing our quest to bring Miami the World's biggest and best Dubstep DJs, CHEFAL aka DJ CHEF makes his first Miami appearance at GET LOW September 16th. A true Pioneer in his field, his dubplates can only be matched by the likes of fellow legends N-Type and Hatcha, who've already graced the GET LOW stage. He's held down residencies at the premier UK dubstep parties DMZ and FWD, as well as his 5 year strong weekly radio show on RINSE FM. This is another big show in Miami Dubstep history, so don't miss out!

(((SHAKE))) presents Hatcha at the Vagabond!

Damn we are ready to get low to some serious bass! We got Hatcha coming over from the UK. He is joined by Basshead, FTG, Munkz, Gizmatix, DS and MC's Jumanji and Nome. In the bar we have A-TRAIN and on the patio Caso.

So who is Hatcha?

"No one DJ or indeed producer can claim sole credit for dubstep . But when the history of the genre gets told, no DJ has ever had, or perhaps ever will again have so much influence over the course of the genre as Hatcha. It’s no overstatement to say the entire genre bares his stamp."
Martin Clark - blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.com

Hatcha is Croydon's answer to Moodyman and has over 18 years of DJ experience under his belt. Following a job as A&R man and shop hand at the legendary Big Appple Records, Hatcha became the first main DJ behind the now worldwide recognised Dubstep genre. He also mixed the very first " "Dubstep Allstars" compilation (and volume 4 alongside Youngsta), making his name as the Godfather of Dubstep.

Going on to DJ all over the world and release on some of the genres leading labels, Hatcha holds his weekly radio show on Kiss FM alongside Crazy D and was the first DJ to host a commercial radio show based soley around Dubstep.

With 2010 promising to be even more successful with the launch of Hatcha's new Sin City label and events alongside fellow Dubstep legend N Type , a host of big gigs already confirmed, as well as remixes, orginal productions and some big collaborations, Hatcha has and will continue to firmly cement his name in music history.

(((SHAKE))) feat. Joker and Nomad at Get Low

Get Low presents Joker and mc Nomad

Attention all bassheads: The future is now.

Aged just 20, Joker is an immensely precocious talent, he burst onto the Dubstep and Grime scenes in 2008 with the vibrant ‘Grimey Princess’ and ‘Gully Brook Lane’ which were released on Earwax and Plastician’s Terrorhythm imprint respectively. His productions possess a rare duality of intense and nonchalant energy, the soundtrack to a pimp on an interstellar journey.

Joker’s musical peers include Rustie, Gemmy and Kode 9, the recognised tastemaker and man behind Hyperdub who identified Joker as one to watch when he named him as his protégée for Mary Anne Hobbs’ hugely seminal follow-up to Dubstep Wars, Generation Bass; broadcast worldwide on BBC Radio 1.

Joker’s video can be viewed on Youtube and in testament to the level of interest in this Bristolian talent, continues to be the highest viewed video of the Maida Vale session.

Joker has remixed Roni Size, Simian Mobile Disco and Lil Boots, his productions are battered by DJs including Skream, Rustie, Harmonic 313 and Plastician. Pitchfork named Joker "2008 Producer Of The Year", a huge accolade for a producer who’s not only just out of his teens but also just out of the starting blocks.

Born to Grime and adopted by Dubstep, Joker is reluctant to be classified, but his soul drenched productions have been described as Jehri Curl Boogie and Wiley stuck in an elevator with Cameo. Whatever you call it, as we move through 2009 and beyond, Joker is one of the shining stars that can be seen in the distance and by the time the light of his electric melody’s reaches our eardrums he has already begun the next phase of his journey.
